Starting next month, weekend games in the Korean Baseball Organization’s regular season will be rescheduled for Monday if they are canceled due to rain.

The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) announced on Tuesday that if a Saturday or Sunday game is canceled in the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League, which will be held between Aug. 5 and Sept. 10, the game will be rescheduled for the following Monday at 6:30 pm.

If both Saturday-Sunday games are canceled during this period, one game will be played on Monday and the other will be organized at a later date.

The league will not schedule Monday games for three consecutive weeks. If a weekend game is canceled for three consecutive weeks, the final Monday game will be scheduled at a later date.

So far this season, 48 regular-season games have been canceled. That’s more than the 45 games canceled all of last year.

The Kiwoom Heroes, who call the Gochuk Dome home before resuming play in the second half of the month, have played 86 games, while the KIA Tigers, who have had the most canceled games, have played only 76, 고스톱 leaving a 10-game gap between the two teams.
