Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are preparing to sign Victor Osimhen and Hvitsa Kravatshelia at the same time.
PSG are facing a major attacking reinforcement next season. Kylian Mbappe, who had already decided to leave the club, officially announced his departure from PSG on his personal social media accounts on Wednesday.
The sale of Mbappe frees up a huge amount of financial space for PSG. European transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano said, “By letting Mbappe leave as a free agent, PSG saved over 200 million euros ($295.6 million). The club plans to reinvest more than 80 percent of the money,” he said, adding that the club plans to make a major signing.
PSG will be looking to fill Mbappe’s void with a number of players. PSG are currently targeting Napoli’s ace duo of Osimhen and Hvitsa. The two were teammates with Kim Min-jae last season, leading Napoli to a monumental Italian Serie A title.
However, Napoli’s collapse this season has led to speculation that Osimhen and Hvitsa could be on the move. Osimhen signed a new contract with Napoli last December, but it had a buyout clause. It’s a hefty €120 million, but with PSG’s newfound financial resources, it’s certainly possible.
In recent days, the Hvitsa rumors have evolved into something concrete. Recently, Le Parisien reported that Hvitsa is PSG’s priority to replace Mbappe. PSG director Luis Campos met with Hvitsa’s agent in Italy three weeks ago. PSG will do everything they can to sign him,” the report said.
Unlike Osimhen, Hvitsa does not have a buyout clause. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is known for being very picky when it comes to selling 토토사이트 players. It might not be easy to sign Hvitsa, but with PSG’s deep pockets, there’s nothing they can’t do.
‘President De Laurentiis has no intention of selling Hvitsa this summer,’ Romano reports. Despite interest from the Premier League and PSG, Napoli want to keep Hvitsa, while Osimhen, who PSG are also interested in, is expected to leave. Napoli will push for Hvitsa’s re-signing as soon as possible.
Despite Napoli’s desire, it is doubtful that they will be able to keep Hvitsa and Osimhen. Napoli finished eighth in the league this season and failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League (UCL). Osimhen and Hvitsa are coveted by a number of clubs. PSG is one of those teams that will take whatever they can get.
