Just like the Paris Olympics schedule, the finals will be held two days after the preliminaries.
The final test to select the national archery team to participate in the 2024 Paris Olympics begins.

The Korea Archery Association announced on the 22nd, “The 2024 National Archery National Team Final Evaluation Match will be held from the 23rd to the 29th at the Kim Su-nyeong Archery Range in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province.”

In this evaluation match, eight male and female recurve and compound players, who were selected as this year’s national teams on the 14th, will participate.

By adding up the scores from this first evaluation match and the second evaluation match scheduled for next month, the final list of players who will participate under the Taegeuk symbol in major international competitions, including the Paris Olympics, will be determined.

In the women’s recurve competition, Lim Si-hyun (Korea National Sport University), three-time winner of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, Choi Mi-seon (Gwangju Bank), gold medalist in the women’s team event at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, and Jeon Hoon-young (Incheon City Hall), who came in third place in the national team selection competition at the last minute, will participate.

In men’s recurve, 2020 Tokyo Olympic gold medalists Kim Je-deok (Yecheon County Office), Kim Woo-jin (Cheongju City Hall), and Oh Jin-hyuk (Hyundai Steel) will compete in the Olympics once again.

Lee Woo-seok (Kolon), two-time winner of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, is also aiming for a ticket to Paris.

The Korea Archery Association has set the schedule for the final evaluation match for the national team in line with the Paris Olympic archery competition schedule.

Typically, in archery, the preliminary round is held on the first day and the main tournament is held the next day, but at the Paris Olympics, the first round is held on the first day, followed by a two-day break, and then the second round resumes on the fourth day.

Therefore, it appears that controlling the players’ condition during this period will be the key to winning medals.

In the compound event, which is not an official Olympic event, eight players each for men and women, including So Chae-won (Hyundai Mobis), Oh Yu-hyeon (Jeonbuk Provincial Office), Yang Jae-won (Sangmu), and Kim Jong-ho (Hyundai Steel), are participating, making it the final four men and women who will participate in this year’s Archery World Cup. Compete for human positions.

The final 2nd evaluation match for the 2024 national team will be held at the Jinho International Archery Range in Yecheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do from the 5th to the 11th of next month, and the final six members of the men’s and women’s recurve national team to participate in the Paris Olympics will be confirmed. 섯다
