The largest international youth basketball tournament in history is coming to Korea.

The tournament will be hosted and organized by Hongcheon County, the Hongcheon Sports Association, and the Korea 3×3 Basketball Organization (KXO), with 80 teams and more than 3,000 players from 12 Asian countries including China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Vietnam.
The tournament, which aims to develop youth basketball in Korea and provide a platform for international exchange, will be the largest ever in terms of participating countries and athletes. In addition, the tournament is preparing a grand opening ceremony and various events in line with its status as an international youth basketball tournament. The opening ceremony on the first day of the tournament, Friday, June 16, will feature a commemorative performance by the 2nd Korean Taekwondo Demonstration Team and a dojo breaking event by former basketball player Jeon Tae-pung, while a welcome dinner will be held for the foreign teams after the first day’s games.
In addition, Hongcheon County will provide free Hongcheon ginseng tea, a local specialty, for the participating athletes and their parents, and snack booths will be set up throughout the stadium to serve and sell Hongcheon’s famous hot dogs, taiyaki buns, and toast.
The efforts of Hongcheon County and the Hongcheon County Sports Council to make the tournament a success will also be broadcast live on TV, and on the 17th and 18th, the tournament will be broadcast live on KBS N Sports. In addition, NH Bank and SONO Hotels & Resorts will sponsor the tournament to ensure its success.

Not only the staff of Hongcheon County and the Hongcheon Sports Association, but also the tournament organizers are putting in a lot of effort to make the tournament a success. We hope that the more than 3,000 athletes from 12 countries participating in the tournament will have fun without any injuries during the tournament and enjoy the various tourist destinations in Hongcheon-gun,” he said in a welcome message to the participating athletes.
