Hwang Hee-chan won’t join A-Match in September

Hwang started and played the first 45 minutes of the third round of the 2023-2024 English
Premier League (EPL) season against Everton at Goodison Park in Liverpool, England, on Sept. 26.
Hwang Hee-chan, who scored the goal of the season in the second round, was looking to score
in back-to-back games but was substituted after just 45 minutes.
After the game, news of Hwang’s injury broke, as his club Wolverhampton won 1-0 to record
their first win in three games.

Hwang’s injury is a big blow for Klinsmann’s team, which is set to play two A matches next month.
With Lee Kang-in (Paris Saint-Germain) ruled out for September due to a thigh injury, the loss of Hwang Hee-chan, a key source of offense, will be significant.
