The NC Dinos are in danger of being eliminated from fall baseball.

The team lost a 6-7 home game against the Hanwha Eagles at Changwon NC Park on April 19. The ninth-ranked NC suffered its 74th loss of the season (2-60). The eighth-ranked Hanwha improved to 63 wins, 2 draws and 72 losses on the season.

NC will be eliminated from the fall baseball season if KT and Doosan win the Suwon Samsung-KT and Jamsil KIA-Doosan games on Sunday. Doosan’s 9-4 victory over Kia kept them in the hunt for KT and Samsung.

NC’s starting lineup was Seo Ho-cheol (designated hitter)-Kim Joo-won (shortstop)-Park Min-woo (second baseman)-Matt Davidson (first baseman)-Kim Hwi-jip (third baseman)-Chun Jae-hwan (left fielder)-Han Seok-hyun (right fielder)-Kim Sung-wook (center fielder)-Kim Hyung-joon (catcher).

Hanwha started with Hwang Young-mook (second base), Kwon Kwang-min (left field), Moon Hyun-bin (third base), Noh Si-hwan (designated hitter), Chae Eun-sung (first base), Kim Tae-yeon (right field), Jang Jin-hyeok (center field), Lee Do-yoon (shortstop), and Choi Jae-hoon (catcher).

Hanwha struck first. In the top of the first inning, leadoff hitter Hwang Young-mook singled, followed by a two-run home run by Kwon Kwang-min.

NC answered with a home run of their own in the bottom of the first.

A leadoff double by Seo Ho-cheol, a single by Park Min-woo, and a walk by Kim Hwi-jip loaded the bases with two outs, and Jeon Jae-hwan hit his first career home run to make it a 4-2 game.

NC’s lead didn’t last long. In the top of the second, 토토사이트 Hanwha pulled within one run on a double by Jang Jin-hyuk and an RBI single by Lee Do-yoon. After back-to-back singles by Choi Jae-hoon and Hwang Young-mook loaded the bases, Hanwha made it 5-4 when Kwon Kwang-min singled and Moon Hyun-bin grounded out to third base.

In the top of the fifth, Hanwha put runners on first and third with a double by Chae Eun-sung and a single by Jang Jin-hyuk before Lee Do-yoon singled home the runner from third.

Hanwha continued to score in the top of the sixth inning. Lee Do-yoon singled and Choi Jae-hoon laid down a sacrifice bunt to put runners on first and second. Hwang Young-mook then struck out swinging in a 2S2B, but Kwon Kwang-min’s RBI single made the score 7-4.

NC pulled within one run in the bottom of the sixth on Ahn Jung-yeol’s double and Seo Ho-cheol’s RBI single.

In the bottom of the eighth, Kim Sung-wook hit a solo home run to make it a one-run game.

Hanwha tried to keep their last fall baseball hopes alive by chasing Hanhwa, but their hopes of advancing to the fall baseball were extinguished in the bottom of the ninth inning.

NC’s starter Lee Yong-joon took the mound after allowing four runs in one inning, followed by Lee Jun-ho (three innings, two runs), Lee Yong-chan (two innings, one run), Ryu Jin-wook (one inning, no run), Lim Jung-ho (one inning, no run), and Kim Jae-yeol (one inning, no run).

Hanwha was rocked when Ryu gave up his second walk-off home run of the KBO regular season. He left the game with four runs in three innings, compounded by elbow stiffness. Park Sang-won (2⅔ scoreless innings), Kim Seo-hyun (1 run in 1⅓ innings), Han Seung-hyeok (1 run in 1 inning), and Joo Hyun-sang (1 run in 1 inning) followed to preserve the win.
