Hong Myung-bo (55), the new head coach of the national soccer team who went to Europe to appoint a foreign coach, will meet with Son Heung-min (32, Tottenham) in London, England. A
Korea Football Association (KFA) official told News 1 on the 17th, “Coach Hong Myung-bo will soon travel to London to meet with Son Heung-min and have various conversations.”
The specific date and location of the meeting have not been revealed, but a KFA official said, “Tottenham, which started the pre-season, is scheduled to play a friendly match with Queens Park Rangers (QPR) this weekend on the 20th, and I understand they will meet before that.”
Coach Hong left for Spain on the 15th and is currently in the process of selecting a foreign coach.
Coach Hong said at the departure ceremony, “I may flexibly meet the national team players during my schedule,” and “I am currently scheduled to go on a business trip to Europe for about a week, but if I meet the players, my stay in Europe may be extended.”
Son Heung-min is the first player that Coach Hong will meet during his official schedule after taking charge of the national team.
Coach Hong personally coached Son Heung-min when he led the national team from 2013 to 2014.
Coach Hong said, “We need to create a culture that is unique to Korea. Creating an atmosphere where the players can enjoy themselves and work together is the priority,” and it seems that he will meet with captain Son Heung-min ahead of the start of the new national team and discuss this matter. 안전놀이터
